Design, Resource Management System For Enterprise Project Based On The Workflow Engine

Workflow technology, which has developed quickly as one of new technology on computer application recently, is a kind of advanced flow controlling technique exploited by office automation applications and enterprise businesses. Its primary characteristic is the automation of processes involving combinations of human and IT applications. The target of this technology is to increase efficiency, reduce operating costs, and improve enterprise management level and competence through realizing system flow controlling. This target is achieved by dividing work to defined mission and role, assigning related information and resource in order to harmonize activities in business process, and performing the mission according to some rules and procedure under watching control. Applying the workflow technology in the office automation system, the requirement changing is effectively handled when the organization or business process is changed, and the adaptability of the office automation can be enhanced.In order to optimize the process of daily businesses in the 30th Institute of CETC and improve its management, an information management system named Enterprise Project Resource Management System is designed based on J2EE platform,which is centered on the workflow technology and oriented to the requirements of the research institute businesses management.Firstly, this thesis analyzes the basic theory and application technology of workflow technology in office automation and suggests that workflow technology can be used in the project information management of the research institute. And then, it anatomizes a few kinds of enterprise application architecture and designs the specific architecture of this system. Based on the deep survey of actual work and attentive analysis of all kinds of business activities, several typical kinds of business process are abstracted, which can be placed in different function modules of the system.
