In this paper, we discuss the open-region boundary conditions based on Finite Element Method (FEM). In these boundary conditions, Boundary Integral Method (BIM) has been discussed as the most important part. We use the hybrid FEM combined with BIM to analyze the electromagnetic scattering properties of objects and discuss the advantages of this hybrid method in truncating computational region, accuracy, efficiency, versatility and so on .We use some typical objects as the examples, the results have been computed by the hybrid FEM and show the accuracy and validity compared to those published in literature. |
