Superwide visual angle image have extensive application in the domains of Virtual Reality, video compression, transmission and medicine. Although wide-angle lens also can acquire wide visual angle image, it will bring distortion which is difficult to be avoid. So it is hard for a common imaging system to capture wide visual angle image. Due to these actualities, Image Mosaic Technic has come into being.Presently, prevalent international Image Mosaic Technics are similar which determine the relative position by searching the same contents of two borders upon images with some arithmetics. The keystone is how to process the overlap parts, different arithmetic conduce different Image Mosaic effect. Those Image Mosaic Technics will go against image mosaic system's real time quality for too much dependence on software arithmetics.This paper works out a solution to broaden the image-range and improve imaging resolution with hardware method. And the method is adding field stops in the front of the imaging system. Based on the optics theory, large scenery is divided into some small segments which will be imaged by one CCD image-system respectively, and the size of the field stop is educed, accordingly each small image-range will be accurately restricted. The feasibility of the method is proved by mathematical deductions and calculations. The calculations with the parameters and the positions of each elements lead to the realization of the real time multi-lens image stitching. Take the influence of the distance change of object into account, an integrity geometry model can be build. Finally, imaging experiments have been carried out by using anterior design, which acquired some multi-lens image stitching photos in different place to verify the solution's feasibility, theoretic analysis has been given, make the design achieve practical request. But there are some disfigurements existing, such as brightness imbalance, thin aperture in existence. Software method is used to optimize the results and problems are resolved. A fast matching arithmetic is also be designed which is based on griddings. This image mosaic method has combined hardware process and software process, and it has acquired fine real time effect. Considering the image mosaic system based on PC is too large to use inconveniently, so it is necessary to repot it into the embedded system. Finally, the multi-lens image mosaic system is working independence based on DAM6416Pimage process flat roof.
