With the development of INTERNET and PC-after technology, embedded system, center of interest in the rising research in recent years, has been a huge requirement of market. More and more embedded products have been developed based on network, radio communication encoding especially in field of industrial control, roadway traffic control and environmental surveillance. This thesis describes the embedded system which is designed for the technology of intelligent communication systems based on GSM network to control the remote field. It covers the software development in the embedded systems.This thesis begins with the concepts of embedded computing system and SMS network technology to show us the significance of our work. The hardware of this system is based on Intel Samsung? S3C2410 and the operation system is Windows CE. net. We code with the software tool Embedded Visual C++.In the following chapters, it presents the framework of Windows CE.net, the transplant and the optimization of the embedded kernel, the file system and the network in the ARM platform. The primary work of this thesis is the embedded software development based on the SMS. Here we describe several modes of radio communication, including the process of coding and decoding. The conclusion of our work shows the feasibility of using roboticized devices without people's participation for communication.The excellence and disadvantage of the system are presented in the last. We also discuss the amelioration need to be done of the software.
