In order to eliminate the harmonic of power system and avoid its tremendous harms, this paper studies modeling, control and equipment of High-capacity Hybrid Active Power Filter (ab. HHAPF), based on basic principle of Active Power Filter (ab. APF) and Hybird Active Power Filter used presently. HHAPF system has been applied in the industrial field. Many experiences of theory and practice have been accumulated which are beneficial to popularize HHAPF system.This paper is based on the research of HHAPF main circuit structure and its work principle, findes the modeling of HHAPF by using switching-function method, and approaches the accumulated effect of dead-time in inverter, and gains the relation between dead-time and output voltage of inverter which is very important in control algorithm. This paper studies the smoothing principle and its advantage and disadvantage under different control strategies, then applies Fuzzy-PI control algorithm in HHAPF system, which compensates the inverter output phaseshift and the effect of dead-time, and combines rationally fuzzy control and traditional PI control. HHAPF system has fast dynamic response and steady smoothing effect. Finally, this paper narrates the design of system main circuit and DSP control circuit based on PCI bus. From the result after applied HHAPF system in the industrial field, it indicates that HHAPF system has good effect which has high capacity and low price.
