The Neuro-Science and Information-Science are two hotspots in the study of Natural-Science in recent years.Neuroinformatics is a new-rising subject which can be subdivided into such two subjects.The core tasks of neuroinformatics are how to research the brain,understand the brain,protect the brain and create the brain.Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging(fMRI) and Positron Emission Tomography(PET) are fast-developing technologies in the field of brain research.They have different imaging principles but complementary functions.If integrated the anatomic information with fMRI image and the functional information with PET image, the changes of brain tissue structure can be identified more easily.Moreover, if integrate the relative subjects and scientific research environment of neuroinformatics, it should be great significance for research of neuroinformatics.On the basic of web service architectures and the MVC design pattern,this paper study to integrate the brain technologies of fMRI and PET. Moreover,design a seamless and resource shared integrated environment of neuroinformatics, based on the multi-subjects and integrated scientific research environment of Zhejiang University.This paper complete the following tasks:At first,give a summarization of the neuroinformatics.Briefly introduced the development background and objective of neuroinforrnatics,then,introduced the content of this paper:the integrated environment of neuroinformatics based on web service.Secondly,expatiate the core technologies of the integrated neuroinformatics environment which is researched in this paper.Such as:fMRI(Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging),PET(Positron Emission Tomography),DICOM(The Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine Standard) and Web Service technology.In the 3rd chapter,we analyze the shortcomings of the main distributed technique (CORBA, DCOM, Java RMI) and the unique characteristics of web service.Combine with the MVC design pattern,we put forward the architecture of MVC pattern basedon web service technology.In the 4th chapter,on the basic of the above analyzation,we discuss the architecture and components of our integrated neuroinformatics environment.Finally,we implement a prototype system on our computer,and demostrate part functions.
