After analyzing some computer-based patient record(CPR) systems, this paper describes how to design and realize the object-oriented medical record structure model and the medical record editor that supports structured data entry (SED).This model constitutes the medical records through objects in different layers, and can fit well with all kinds of medical records structure processing. In this model, the medical records data structure degree may achieve above 75%, and the data granularity is thin. The structure data are saved in the multi-dimensional array of Cache in order to satisfy the need of analysis for the magnanimity data.The medical record editor is similar to the general RTF editor, but it can prevent the structured information of the medical records from being destroyed in the edition data process.The system will improve the doctor's working efficiency and enhance the quality of medical records. Moreover, it provides the effective method for the clinical scientific research and the data analysis. The high structure medical record data have important meanings to the disease monitoring and the epidemic disease prevents. However, their realizations rely on the standardized clinical terminology storehouse and the medical record templates.
