With the development of the Charge Coupled Device (CCD), we need seriously consider how to choice a suitable CCD and how to design a proper periphery circuit. We design a CCD high speed data acquisition system based on USB2.0, and use the acquisition system we tested the CCD dynamic range and analysed the results. To enhance the CCD S/N we put forward some methods to reduce the CCD noise.After briefly talk about the linear CCD theory and performance, the CCD noise resource was analyzed, the correlative reduce CCD noise methods were discussed. At last we use Correlated Double Sampling (CDS) method to reduce CCD resetting noise.During the design of the CCD high speed data acquisition system, TCD132D was used as a sample, based on the analysis of some in common used CCD driver circuit and high speed transfer design scheme, we design a CCD high speed data acquisition system based on USB2.0. The driver circuit of CCD and the sampling clock of the A/D converter are realized by EPM7064, the ISP1581 which has DMA control module was used as a USB2.0 interface chip. The data acquisition system and the PC interface are based on USB2.0. The characteristic of the USB are PNP, easy to expand, etc. The USB2.0 interface is a higher speed and easy to expand compare to the traditional interface.Based on the CCD acquisition system we design a CCD dynamic range testing experiment. Through the experiment we analyze the CCD dynamic range change which is caused by voltage fluctuate.
