With the development of communication techniques,especially with the phenomenal growth of CDMA communication system,more and more communication products such as handset,Personal Digital Assistants(PDAs) and other blue tooth products are widely used.The trend presents the requirement for compact and power efficient radio system.On the other hand,with the drastically increasing users of communication system,the communications channels are becoming increasingly crowded,which poses a stringent need for improved radio frequent bandwidth efficiency.This in turn present a requirement for sophisticated digital modulation schemes in modern radio system,,resulting in stricter linearity requirement on the communication system..The work presented in the thesis combined with a actual project to discuss the commonly used techniques of RF power amplification linearization., mainly discussed the Digital Predistortion technique with application to CDMA2000 Base Station system.At first, analyse nonlinear characteristic of power amplification, generalize the linearization techniques and the base concepts at present, analyse the mechanism of nonlinear distortion and how to decrease it in detail;Second, discuss the Digital Predistortion technique and Selfadaptational algorithm, And use PMC Digital Predistortion chip to accomplish the function which supplied by PMC-Sierra company;Finally this paper presents the software design and realization based on PMC Digital Predistortion system. The test result presents that this system can improve the ACPR more than 10dB, with application to CDMA2000 BaseStation system successfully.
