J2ee-based Framework Technology, Applied Research, Broadband Streaming Media Management System

With the dramatic development of J2EE, many new thinking and new open source frameworks come into being. Nowadays, open source frameworks like Struts and Hibernate and Spring are getting popular and have been used in many software development projects.This article takes a project, "Onewave Streaming Management System", as background, researching the application of the lightweight architecture which is based upon Struts and Hibernate and Spring technologies in enterprise information systems. To begin with, the article discusses the architecture of J2EE and learns about the functions of and relationships between each component. And then, the MVC pattern, which is the de facto standard pattern in the development of web applications, will be introduced. And Struts, a famous MVC framework, will also be introduced. Later, this article will compare the heavyweight architecture based upon EJB with the lightweight architecture to show the merits of the lightweight one. Since Hibernate and Spring framework are the most popular frameworks in building lightweight architecture, so they will be introduced and discussed in detail.Finally, the design and implement of the streaming management system will be introduced. The architecture of this system is based upon the lightweight J2EE architecture and is designed using a layered architecture. In the part of implements, this article mainly discusses how to implement each layer by these open source frameworks.
