Following the evolution of communication technology and computer technology, the two great technologies are combined gradually. Computer technology has played an indispensable importance role in communication areas.The traditional work flow is to connect the received PCM primary speech signals with recorders and record speech information by tapes. The main disadvantages of such kind of method are: first, it needs a lot of recorders;second, the load of workers is high;third, because using tape as storage medium, quality of re-listen can't be ensure. Aim at instances mentioned above, we planed the goal of project is to build a bridge between data demodulate equipment and computer network by storing multi-way primary block signals which have been compressed and code-conversed to a disk array to form individual data files for the use of end computers. By such way, recorders are replaced by computer network. Therefore, this method not only resolves the problems of old work method, but also makes the best use of existing network resource. Furthermore, this method can efficiently lower load of worker and improve the degree of automation.This paper illustrated the practical application of computer relevant technologies in speech data processing based on the development of Data Relay Satellite Speech Processing System.In the design, we mainly used DSP and EDA technologies. We implemented the core function of data processing by programming on digital processing chips and constructed sequence circuit, logic circuit and other peripheral circuits using programmable logic devices. Our design changed traditional method of using a great deal of discrete components to build circuit. By contraries, in out design, most of hardware design is performed by software;this makes the design and modification and debugging of circuits is more rapidly. This method just embodies the idea of software design of hardware circuit.We also implemented data same source processing, frame format convention, data addition, code convention, opposite way combination.The paper emphasizes on the design and implementation of main function modules in Speech Processing System, including Line Interface, Synchronization of Speech Data, Speech Superposition, Code Convention, Panel Control and Listen. The paper also analyses the key technologies of system implementation, including implementing frame location signal protect using state machine, increasing storage density of speech data using for reference of the multi-connect of PCM second block, and optimizing the two times code and decode arithmetic to realize the linear superposition of speech data.Since the equipment was made successfully, it has worked stably and effectively. The portability of its core modules can give good experience for researching and making the same equipments.
