In automotive industry, software's share is surprisingly increasing. Its functionalities are directly related to application development time and quality. The main focus of this thesis is how to accelerate reliable software development process by using Model Based Design methodology and some Integrated Development Tools corresponding.SMART IDE is an Integrated Development Environment, which can help users to implement Model Based Design (MBD) method during their work. And this MBD method can provide users more software reliability and development enficiency.SMART IDE provides plenty of functionalities, such as visual modeling, automatical code generation, OIL configuration, simulation and time analysis, automatical document/report generation and so on. All these functionalities help the users during every phase in their development flow when they use a MBD process. So users can use SMART IDE as a unified platform for automotive system development.The main work of this thesis can be generalized as following:Firstly, it is the first to bring Model Based Design methodology into Chinese automotive industry and its electronic system design.Secondly, it invents a new technique about modeling and automatical code generation on SmartOSEK RTOS so that we can then implement SMART IDE as a whole development environment.Thirdly, it implements a total functional SMART IDE platform to support the implementation of MBD method.At last, it applies SMART IDE in some real industry cases and the software itself has passed certification both by the government and the 863 professers.The born of Smart IDE, will bring an evolutionary change to our development fashion. It is the model driven method, which will replace of the object driven method. Thus we can do our design more efficiently and more assured. Meanwhile, the software and hardware testing tools can make the IDE more powerful.
