Design And Implementation Of Web-based Services In The Yellow Pages System

With the development of Internet, the applications of electric yellow page are more and more popular. Now, a lot of customers claim to issue a lot of information and the new requirement cannot be satisfied by the old yellow page systems, which can only issue phone number and simple introduction. So the technology of issuing mass information has become a hot point of research field in yellow page systems. Yellow Page System of Zhejiang University is such a system.The difference between characters of Yellow Page System of Zhejiang University of normal yellow page systems are discussed. The target of the system design is confirmed. Several kinds of available technology are compared and appropriate technology is selected. The Yellow Page System is designed and implemented finally.With a view to the boring labor and slow refreshing of inputting data by hands, the web services technology is utilized to acquire data from other information system, in order to reducing the labor of inputting data. Furthermore, a stateful model of web services is designed and implemented in the system, because the SOAP protocol, which web services is based on, is stateless, while the stateless model cannot meet the security requirement of the yellow page system. This kind of stateful web services provide stateful session of web services in the application level, encapsulating the stateless web services.This paper consists of six chapters. Chapter one introduces the summary of this paper, including the characters of yellow page system and research field of the paper. Chapter two introduces some background knowledge, including web services, XML and XSLT. Then, general design of the whole system is discussed in chapter three, with several types of technology compared to select the prior one. Subsequently, the detail design and implement of stateful model of web services is described in chapter four and business module is designed and implemented in chapter five. Moreover, the environment of development and the system deployment is explained in chapter six. Finally, the prospect of the future study is summarized. The designing ideas and implementation techniques in this paper are introduced for practical need, and have been proved to be acceptable in actually running systems.
