DRO(dielectric resonator oscillator) has the characteristics of high frequency stability and low phase noise. According to the conditional approximation to the nonlinear oscillation system, obtained the quantitative expression that characterizes the oscillator performance by theoretical derivation. Also got the expression to be proved by experience. Using this critical quantitative expression, we can do the exact oscillator design. Obtained the quantitative relationship for the frequency stability and the unloaded Q value, and the common approach to improve the quality of oscillator.The DRO constructed by the feedback structure. The exact S parameter for the coupling of DR and micro strip line is calculated by the numerical method. Use the S parameter matrix as a sub-circuit to the oscillator circuit. Also obtain the S parameter by the theoretical derivation, which is very useful to the modification of the real circuit.Using the system optimization method, designed the X band DRO, which reached the desired specification.According to the requirement of CW Doppler RADAR . Designed the C band DR filer by the theoretical and numerical methods.
