With the development of science, people attach importance to technic of imagestitching. more and more. It is widely used in iatrology,military affairs,avigation,agriculture and so on. In general image mosaicing is based on grays of image. towardscolor images we first grays the images then joint them. When we joint images base ongrays, it often bring mistake matching. So a new algorithm is proposed in this paper, whichis base on tricolor principium of color image stitching.Generally, this paper discusses four steps of image stitching: pretreatment of image,image registration, image stitching , and blend processing.Template matching is often used image stitching. which is the basic component ofimage stitching. The feather, location and the size of reference template affect the accuracyand speed of image stitching greatly. Two new algorithms based on template-matching areproposed to mosaic two overlapped color images fast and automatically in this paper, theyare base on tricolor principium of color images. And which are search for excellentalgorithm of parallel and character of decussation. Our algorithm firstly acquire a templateimage automatically from one image according to image attribute. Then search a bestmatching location in another image, A lot of experiments show that our algorithm iseffective for most overlapped color images. At the same time we draw a conclusion whatthey difference and contact from compare with image mosaicing base on tricolorprincipium and image mosaicing base on grays.Without blending processing after image stitching, there must be cracks in themosaics. so we must find out a good blending function to erase those cracks . Here we listkinds of blending function, and make compare with each other. Finally , we choose ablending function base on luminance merging for color images The algorithm caneffectively overcome the influence in image quality and making merging image seamlessand smooth.
