This task is based upon WEB database of the Rare Earth Compound Thermodynamics. It is the investigation and the development of this database. According to the thermodynamics of RE, it is important to design and construct the web database. This task is one part of the RE Compound Web Database that was supported by Natural Science Fund in Yunnan province. This dissertation has the focus on system of RE Compound Thermodynamics Database by designing, establishing and devising the RE Compound Thermodynamics Database System. The RE Compound Thermodynamics Database in this thesis is the very important constitutes and foundation of data. So the system of this database becomes especially notable. This thesis systemically discussed the total layout, client interface design, background database manipulation and calculation of thermodynamics parameters. In the total layout, investigated the development and change, this article has put forward and devised multilayer system framework. It contained not only C/S, but B/S. By the system framework, we carried through function design. We also made certain integrated condition of software. Client interface design must answer client needs of most users. In background database, the storage and the express of data has shown. Using SQL sentences we could handle the basic operation. Particularly the thesis introduced some triggers to realize the integrality of database. It recommended Matlab, too. Matlab has higher efficiency in programming due to the advantages in numeric computing. Analysing the keystone of thermodynamics calculation, the dissertation provided both formulas and flow chats.
