Based Embedded Systems, Digital Television Source Control

With the progress of science and technology, TV is changed from analog signals TV to digital TV. Compared with analog signals TV, digital TV provides not only higher quality pictures but also more added functions. There are many differences between the development and the debugging of analog TV and digital TV, besides these, the development tools of digital TV are very few. A kind of digital TV signal source control system based embedded system which name is DVB Application is introduced in this paper. There are two functions integrated into DVB Application, one is setting frequency, the other is getting the transport stream. Because USB2.0 is the data transport interface of DVB Application, it is a kind of both portable instrument and plug-and-play instrument. Firstly, USB System is introduced in this paper. The communication model and the communication protocol of USB are the emphasis, the transport modes of the USB are also described particularly. Then, on the base of detail analysis on USB System, according to the characteristic of digital TV signal source, the description of DVB Application's design is present in this paper. Finally, the design and development of hardware, firmware, driver program and application program which belong to DVB Application are described, and in accordance with its work result the improvements needed and the plan of the following work is proposed.
