Web Service, Eai Applications

Along with the increasing demand of information in modern enterprise, most of large enterprises have all kinds of application systems. These systems are developed by different company, running on different platform and operation system, developed in different developing language. So Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) systems are required.The appearance of Web Service has made a great impact on the design, development and deployment of web application. It is called revolution on Web computing. As the independence on system and developing language property of Web Service, it has become an excellent method on EAI.Firstly, Web Service architecture is presented, including its conception, model, data encoding and protocol stack, etc. SOAP, WSDL, UDDI specification and the relations between them are emphasized on. Then, EAI conception and its traditional methods are introduced; the advantages of Web Service in EAI are studied and compared with the traditional solution. Then, Michelin Wholesaler Data Integration Platform (WDIP) is given out to study its Web Service based solution and architecture, the key technologies for design and implementation the system are emphasized on: the design UDDI server, the programming mode of Web Service, the service quality and performance optimizing of Web Service and the design of Web Service Search Engine, etc. Finally, the shortages of Web Service based EAI solutions are studied.The development and application of WDIP show that the EAI system can offer users practicable solutions to improve their operation ability remarkably, and is appreciated by all users.
