With the wide application of distributed database system, how to maintain theconsistency with the less spending as much as possible among sites is a disquisitive hardresearch. Especially in the heterochronous databases, the factor is more complex anddistinct.First the basic theories of distributed database system and technology of Web Serviceand JDBC are introduced. Then a model based on Web Components is put forward to solvethe consistency problems when improving a Student MIS in Computer Center of InnerMongolia University of Science and Technology. The model applies the theories ofdistributed directory and transaction replication, and capture, saves, transforms andtransfers transactions in the homogeneous distributed database system but not the sameDBMS. In the design of this model, the concurrency control of distributed transactions andthe method of failure inspect are discussed and solved successfully. Then on the basis ofthis model, taking Oracle 9i and SQL Server for instance, the model is implemented byJava. Finally, the system is applied as a tool for DBA into a Student MIS in ComputerCenter of Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology and solved the dataconsistency successfully.The practice revealed that the method that is put forward in this paper, which appliesthe flexible interoperability of Web Components to solve the data consistency indistributed databases, made a bold and helpful try on the practicability of WebComponents and the spread of correlative parts in databases. Furthermore, the methodattained favorable results in the practical application.
