In the past few years, there have a rapid increase in the highway building of our country with the development of our country economy. But there is more and more the situation of overload transportation. This thesis introduces the development of the highway and the damage of the overload transportation. Overload transportation shortens the service life of highway and endangers the safety of bridge. And it leads to the increases of the malignant traffic accidents. So it is necessary to apply the system of weighing of moving vehicles and calculating toll to highway for stopping the situation of overload transportation. The study of the weigh-in-motion system in our country is later than other country. In our country, some companies have produced vehicle dynamic scales. But the vehicle dynamic scales have not realized the high weighing accuracy when the vehicle runs across the platform with high speed. On the basis of researching on the progress of technology of weighing, this paper discusses the development of dynamic weighing system and finishes the design of the hardware. An actual model of vehicle dynamic weighing scale has been analyzed and constructed.First, the design of hardware consists of the design of platform scale and the design of integrated circuit, and printing circuit board. The output of weigh sensor is analogue signal. After it is amplified, and is conversed to be digital signals with A/D converter. The host computer deal with the digital signal what is imported from weighing circuit across USB interface circuit.Second, on the basis of finishing the design of hardware, this paper analyses the system of vehicle dynamic weighing and constructs a system model. The system of vehicle dynamic weighing can be figure as ARMA model. So the question of weighing is transformed to the measure of vehicle's speed and the identification of system parameter. The least square method in limited memory is applied to estimate the parameter of time-varying linear systems. We obtain good result from this method.
