In this paper the author studies the key technology of VOD and living broadcast theoretically, and implement it on model and technology. The author also discusses self-adaptable network bandwidth stream media transmission and transmit-speed control, which are the two latest technologies in the related area and have very innovative meaning for improving the service quality and whole performance of the stream media application system.The Internet is uncertainly and its bandwidth, load changes acutely, this can't meet the needs of the real-time service. The real-time self-adaptable network bandwidth technology of stream media settles a preferable way to these problems. VOD systems which apply this technology get a better result in the test. The main function of transmit-speed control technology is to increase the quantity of the end-users evidently. This paper also studies the design and analysis of the queue network semi-practicality simulate emulational system, which is lower in cost, better in performance, and more convenient in studying the network. Design of the main course and playboard simulate software of the stream media server are expounded in this paper.
