With the swift and violent development family theatre and multimedia show business, digital power amplifier and Radio Data System have become one required part of DVD industry .In this thesis, first , the theories and methods of digital servo system, sound system, video system, coding and decoding which is based on MPEG2 standard are studied. Based above, some new functions such as digital power amplifier and Radio Data System have been added to DVD for improving the market competition, and adapting market transformation. The mission of this project is to add the functions of digital power amplifier and RDS, which is based on the adjustment of digital servo system. Firstly the thesis expatiates the structure and means base on the current theory. Arming at digital servo system, it will improve the reading disc capacity and error correction capacity by adjust the hardware and software. Then it designs the digital power amplifier main circuit and interface circuit, the interface of RDS. Last compiles all software about the controlling of digital power amplifier, the receiving of FM/AM and the receiving of RDS. This system not only can realize the performance of DVD, but also can achieve the function of digital power amplifier, which can satisfy the user's need of hearing, and by the switching of circuit can switch the DVD and RDS system. Furthermore, by tunning the parameters of digital servo part, it can use in car multi-media. The paper has the meanings that boost up the performance of DVD, satisfy the need of users and improve the competition.
