The main idea of this paper is to describe the design principle and the testing method ofthe high speed multimedia satellite data receive card .Which is the one of the front–endreceive equipments of Digital Satellite Broadcasting system .It was used to receive themultimedia digital broadcasting data.Multimedia Data Broadcasting ,It means that thecontents combined by the Video,Audio,Software,Streams and so on are transmitted to theintelligent equipments such as PCs,STBs or other portable equipments.It is one of the bestways to provide rapid and rich media.It is a good way to use this kind of card to receive themultimedia data.IP/UDP data was packed to TS packets according the DVB-IP gateway multiple protocolsencapsulation.TS packets was transmitted to user terminals by the DVB-S system.Thecustomers use the card to receive the data.It's a special computer network adapter. It waspluged into the computer's PCI slot,and enable the computer to have the ability to receive thedata which compatible with the DVB-DATA(EN300 192).This method is one of a best way toget abundant information ,such as financial negotiable securities,remote educationalinformation,Electronic papers and famous web stations while cost you little.High speed multimedia satellite data recevie card use the followingtechnologies:DVB ,TCP(UDP)/IP,PCI Bus and Interface,FPGA,Software Engineering.Highspeed multimedia satellite data recevie card receive the DVB Satellite Broadcasting data,itabide by the law of DVB ,such as analysing the data according to the Multiple protocolsencapsulation.The transport speed of the satellite channel can reach to 60~70 Mbit persecond,so I used the PCI interface of computer and used the intergrate PCI Controller chip torealized the data transport.I used the chip RTL8130,and the OEM provide the source code ofthe driver.Which fasten the develop speed and the compatibility between the card and thecomputer.Since there is no and special chip for analysing the data ,using FPGA is a gooddesigned method.The main function of the FPGA is to analyse the Multiple protocolsencapsulation packets ,and transmit the IP data by the Ethernet format. And cooperate thespeed of MCU and PCI interface.The technology of high speed multimedia satellite Data receive card has reached to a highlevel in Domain, Only a few factories can develop this kind of cards to adapt the market.Our project used the maturity technologies,and used some special technogies andmethods:1.We configure the FPGA by PCI drivers.2.Using MCU to control the Tuner.3.UsingFPGA to analyze the data.4.The whole project using the PCI Interface and FPGA.High speed multimedia satellite data recevie card combines a lot of...
