Metallography detection is a technology that studies about the relationship between the structure and the performance of metal material based on the metallographic theory. Metallography detection has been widely applied in industrial manufacture and research. Computer technology can diminish the shortcoming of manual metallography detection method, and make the conventional method develop further. However, because the computer method lack the certain intelligence, many metallography detection projects, especially the project about qualitative analysis still depend on the manual metallography detection method. Therefore, studying how to use the intelligent theory for improving the level of computer metallography detection is the important developing trend of the metallography detection system.In this paper, the basic theory of Extencis and extension detection is discussed. We study the character and effect of Extenics as a new intelligent theory. According the demands of applications, the hierarchy structure of the extension set and the basic process of establishment and optimization of matter-element is purposed. The framework to construct the matter-element is given. Meanwhile, two applications of metallography detection are studied in this paper. At the end, the structure, organization and functions of a typical intelligent system of metallography detection is presented. |
