Based On TMS320C5402 Passenger Traffic Statistics System Design And Implementation

Buses are the main tools of the public transportation which serves the economy and construction of a city. But in the bus transportation there are a lot of problems such as too slow, too crowded during rush hours and not punctual. These problems will be solved if we know the number of the passangers of every line in real time. So we developed the Passengers flow statistical system on buses based on DSP.Firstly, the development of Passengers flow statistical system, the background of our project and some knowle about Digital Signal Processing were introduced in chapter one.Chapter two described the design and implementation the whole system. A TI TMS320VC5402 was selected as the heart of that system and most of the image acquisition logic, control logical and an I2C protocol were implemented in a CPLD chip. The connection of chips was described in detail.Chapter three discussed some tips about hardware design, especially about power design.In the chapter four, the algorithm of the software was introduced.The last chapter drew a conclusion to this DSP system and then made some suggestion to the next board.
