TD-SCDMA, which combines all the advantage of the TDD with CDMA, is one of the three main standards of third -generation mobile radio system. Furthermore, it makes use of many advanced techniques, such as smart antenna, joint detection, and so on. So, it is very advanced, and is the most efficient in using the spectrum in the three main standards. It is well known that TD-SCDMA requires joint detection at the receiver of the node B to achieve acceptable link performance. Joint detection can reduce or eliminate the MAI, ISI and Near-Far effects, simplify power control, reduce power control precision, and remedy the negative influence caused by the nonideal relativity of the orthogonal spreading code. Consequently, joint detection technique can improve the system performance, increase the system capacity, and extend the cell coverage. A JD model of uplink of TD-SCDMA system has been set in chapter two. Through the analysis of the transmitter, the channel and the receiver the basic principle of JD algorithm is illuminated. Then we analyze three kinds of linear joint detection algorithms in chapter three, describe their principle and compare their performance, including computation and ability of resisting interference. We also introduce the key of JD algorithm——system matrix. Due to high computational complexity of JD algorithm, we introduce block Fourier algorithm in the last of Chapter three. We explain its principle and the application in TD-SCDMA system in detail. In chapter four, we simulate JD performance in different...
