VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol. As the term says VoIP tries to let go voice (mainly human) through IP packets and, in definitive through Internet. VoIP can use accelerating hardware to achieve this purpose and can also be used in a PC environment. Using VoIP we may inexpensively translate voice,fax,video,and data operation,for example ,unify message,dummy phone,dummy voice/fax mail,information direction,Internet call center ect.The most advantage of VoIP will provide more and better service than traditional operation because VoIP can widely use the circumstance of Internet and global IP link. The library we develop based soft switch thinking,which include media voice and other information running throught same internet .the library aim at application developer .In order to satisfy many of applications,it cover up all bottom detail. It provide a general interface for every application,same with other general communication technology. The main aim of the library design contain three: 1. because the gateway has come true the separation of call control and media switch/load,we now only provide a general upper interface to control commution between call control and media switch. 2. hide difference both every kind of platform and communicate mode.The library provide several kind communicate mechanism,which may satisfy both remote and local call. 3. client detect remote server continuously,and server integate with hot backup system which make sytem reliably and stably.
