This thesis is mainly on the theory and design of "Ka band integratedTransmitter & receiver module".Chapter 1 is a brief introduction on the character of millimeter-wave, thecategory and application of integrated circuits of millimeter-wave, and thedevelopment of the Transceivers . At last, the source of task and its significance ofresearch are introduced briefly. This chapter is the basis of the whole dissertation.In chapter 2,the basic traits of millimeter-wave microstrip line are analyzed, andthe design formula of its valid permittivity and resistance specially have beensurveyed, as well as a rough introduce of the numerical value length capacitance andthe discontinuities of microstrip.In chapter 3, we introduce the design method of microstrip bandpass filter andsurvey its new development. We designed some microstrip filters and present thetheoretical and measured results, which shows good agreements. We also present thesimulation results of the power divider and direction coupler and the waveguider-tomicrostrip transition as well. In the last part, we presented both the simulation andthe measured results of a lumped lowpass filter.In chapter 4,we present the main character of active devices of millimeter-wave,which is the base of selection active device when the system of Transmitter &Receiver module is structured .In chapter 5, Ka band integrated Transmission & Receiver module is fabricatedon the basis of the theory mentioned above and is measured in the box of120mm×90mm×30mmand the result are presented.
