| Matrix Converter has some advantages: variable power factor, the omission of DC segment, variable output frequencies and phase, etc.. . It has been the hot point of power convert research.This paper introduces the traditional matrix converter about the fundamental principle and control strategies. Based on the investigation with several voltage modulation methods, an improved Instantaneous Double-Voltage Synthesis method is put forward. Firstly, a reference voltage is defined, and it makes the input power factor changeable. Secondly, apply the invert series voltage to improve anti-disturbance performance under the asymmetry input voltage. Thirdly, a new switch select strategize with a new voltage partition is put forward, which simplifies the algorithm and reduces the switching losses to the lowest level. On the current commutation, 4 and 3 step methods are discussed.Computer simulation and experimental research of the matrix converter with such strategy is carried out. Under MATLAB/Simulink 7, symmetry/ asymmetry source are built, and the waveforms of line voltage and current are present.We adopt TMS320LF2407 as controller. This DSP not only meets the real-time requirement, but also simplifies the design of system hardware. Inductive load experiment is carried out to test the system. The experimental results verify the feasibility of the improved Instantaneous Double-Voltage Synthesis method strategy and make preparation for industry application. |
