In later 1980's, many kinds of micro-sensor and micro electro-mechanical system are turned out with the technology of micromachining, one of them is micro inertial sensor, which deals with many new technologies such as precision-machining, micro-electronics, semiconductor integrate circuit technics. Micro Inertial Measurement Unit(MIMU) which made up of micro inertial sensors gives a great progress in the miniaturization and micromation of inertial instrument. MIMU can be used widely both in military and civil area. Especialy in military area, because MIMU is one of key technologies in control and guide of routine weapon, weapon miniaturization and weapon micromation, it is very important in future war, many countries strengthen the research in this area. So it is a very useful to research how to promote the efficiency in MIMU research and how to reduce the time from research to production.Refer to the state of MIMU research in the world, this thesis researches the circuit design, test system design and simulation system design of MIMU which based on FPGA/CPLD, which deals with new technologies such as Electronics Design Automation (EDA), Virtual Instrument (VI) and System Simulation. Then researches the application of computer in the MIMU's computer aid design (CAD), gives the design proposal and one of realization to promote the efficiency in MIMU research and to reduce the time from research to production.In this thesis, we focus on the key technologies of "CAD system of MIMU which based on FPGA/CPLD" and we describe the technologies in this order:1. Circuit design based on FPGA/CPLD. In this part, we focus on the signal-dealing circuit design such as clock circuit, AD circuit, zero-calibration and compensation circuit and numeric integral circuit.2. Test system of MIMU. Here, we use multi-thread technology to promote the stability and real-time character, use multi-language programming to promote the efficiency of research and development.3. Simulation system of MIMU. In this part, we focus on the zero-calibration and compensation of Micro-machined gyro, gives a quick-started zero-calibration method for gyro according the experiments.4. Synthesis technologies in MIMU's CAD system.The circuit, test system, simulation system and the quick-started zero-calibration method designed in this paper are applied in the achieved MIMU, and worked well in experiments.
