With the advanced development the VLSI, as well as the technique of thesemiconductor have been developed greately, so that now we can implement a morecomplex system on a chip, this is SOC. The embedded system has been greatly usedinto the scientific research, engineering technology, army technology, all kinds ofenterprise and many other parts of our life. Image matching is the key technology inthe picture detecting system and the basic method in the object locating. And also it isthe highlight in the image research field. At the same time it can be used in theindutrial control, medical, army and many other fields. So the combination of theimage matching and the embedded technology has not only the great theory value butthe deep real meaning as well. This article is to build a image matching systemplatform based on the SOC processor.This article introduces the pretreatment of the image, analysis of the imagematching algorithmn and software realization of the image matching system platform.First compares many image pretreatment algorithmn;Second explains the advantageof the POC, After that the author analyzes the algorithm of the POC and the RIPOC intheory and simulates in the Matlab. In the RIPOC algorithm, the author optimizes sothat real-time attribute and matching accuracy of the image matching system platformis upgraded greatly. Third is software realization of the image matching systemplatform and introduces system platform of hardware simply.As well as This paper layemphises on the software designing and debugging of device drivers,middlearithmetic layer and superstratum application program. At last the author analysis theperformance of the system platform.With using the embedded system in the the design of the image matching system,this article develops the image matching and location system which has high real-timeattribute, high algorithm accuracy and own IP based on the embedded processor ofARM920T core.
