Tcp / Ip Network Simulation System Research And Design

As the basic configuration technology of computer networks, TCP/IP technology takes an important role in the network. Starting from this point, to design an interactive experimental environment or an emulation tool has very important significance. This paper studies the present popular network modeling and emulation technology and designs a network emulation system, by which the emulation of the contents of the network emulation has been done.First, the paper investigates the development of emulation technology of the network at present, discusses the key problems of the emulation, studies the fundamental theory and the basic modeling and emulation skills of the discrete event system, puts forward a general design scheme of the TCP/IP network simulation system, which we name Sim.Second, lots of investigation has been done on the key technology of TCP/IP network emulation system: Three popular simulation strategies used in the discrete event system are analyzed and compared, then event scheduling mechanism is designed as the emulation category of the system; Code generator and detection compiler are designed so as that the user can build the model of the emulation object; The three level Sim, which has apparent architecture and high transparency, is correspond to the five layer structure of the TCP/IP protocol which is learned in the high-school; Based on the three level system, interface functions are designed for every level, which makes it simple and convenient to emulate the contents of TCP/I P.At last, Sim is used to emulate the stop and wait traffic control and the Ethernet communication. And the actual teaching experience proves that the Sim we put forward can bring us sound effects.
