In this paper, a navigation computer based on DSP technology is researched and characteristic of Inertial Navigation Systems is analyzed, which takes TMS320C6713 as core chip.Firstly, the application status of DSP in Inertial Navigation Systems is introduced in this paper. Secondly, the basic and the optimal Kalman-filter algorithms is set forth. Thirdly, the hardware scheme is designed. At the same time, the data-collection and calculation programs are achieved. Contemporary, after the design of hardware circuits and software and debugging the software systems, correlative test is made and the results is analyzed.Test results indicates that the real-time processing of Integrated Navigation algorithms running on this hardware system is successful. The problem of slow startup of the traditional CPU board of the PC 104 CAN which based on chip-486 is resolved in this paper. Besides, the reliable thereunders is offered to solving miniaturization of the navigation computer.
