Techniques Based On Wavelet Transform Image Compression

The main content of this paper is to research and analysis image compression algorithm, and get some conclusion by comparing some existing image-compression algorithms.First of this paper introduced several common compression algorithm like DCT conversion, linear coding est. Then this paper analyzed JPEG image realization up on DCT conversion. We also analyzed a new algorithm of image compression, fractal-image-coding algorithm.The last but the most important, this paper deeply researched and analyzed wavelet compression, and did many experiments to compare the output of different wavelet functions in compress algorithm, and found out the best wave-let combination in multi-wave-let compression algorithm to be core of the simple image compression algorithm.Up on these experiments the author found that the wavelet function and wavelet algorithm is very useful for image procession, especially for image compression, and found out the virtue of wavelet algorithm for image compression compared with other image compression algorithm.
