Based On The Pc Network, Multi-channel Immersive Virtual Reality Technology

Multi-view based immersive virtual reality system is a virtual environment that allow more people to share the VR experience with highly immersion. It provides large field of view, high resolutions and quality stereo images. It's highly applicable in areas such as military simulation, science visualization, industrial design and manufacture and so on. Generally, the system was driven by special graphics workstation, and hardly to be popularized because of expensive price.This paper implements a kind of immersive virtual reality system based on multi-view over PC network by the researching of related project. This system based on Ethernet composed of PCs. It has a low-cost and the high performance near to special workstation and can provides a solution of good price/performance to users.The main contents of this paper as follows:1. This paper not only discussed the solution and application of immersive virtual reality system based multi-view, but also discussed the background and contexts of research about it.2. The related techniques about the immersive virtual reality system and the key issues which present to system development was discussed, and the reasonable architecture was presented in the paper.3. The design and implementation of the software development kit was introduced in detailed, and the performance of the system was analyzed through a great many of experiments.4. The applications of the system in related project were introduced, and some problems were discovered through development.
