LBS,Location Based Service is a very hot research topic in recent years. It is the result of the interaction of computer data base, geographic information system, mobile location, Internet, wireless communication, etc. LBS has a very bright business future, many countries and companies look it as the drive force in the next round of economy growth. Some authoritative organization forecast that the annual revenue of location based service in 2004 in world around will reach 30 billion US dollars.LBS is an integrated application which involve several different industries, and use the professional knowledge of different discipline. A successful LBS system need the tightly cooperation of professional people come from industry of computer science, communication science, geographic information system, marketing analysis...In the work of research, the major working scope of the writer is the implementing of client software, improve the efficience of path routing algorithms of application server, and the investigation of the posibility of using SVG on mobile device. In the developing of client software, due to the limited CPU power and memory capacity of embedded system, and the variability of different hardware/software platform, software modules and data interfaces are delicately designed to improve the reusability and scalability, and the functions of hardware/software are fully used. In order to improve the efficiency of map path routing service, based on the real meaning of map path routing, algorithm, which is based on the artificial intelligence, is introduced, the mean efficiency is improved by four times.The whole LBS system passed the testing which is based on Unicom's CDMA network. The result is satisfying except some inborn infects. A new solution is approved based on the research of the latest improvements in relative industry and the architecture become more reasonable.
