The paper is written according to DVB-T transmission system project. In this paper, the characteristics of all-digital HDTV terrestrial transmission are analyzed, DVB-T multi-carrier transmission scheme is presented and key synchronization algorithms of COFDM scheme are researched. The scheme exploits guard interval inserted between OFDM symbols in time domain to perform the joint estimation of coarse symbol synchronization and the fraction value of carrier frequency offset. After FFT estimates the integer part of carrier frequency offset by continual pilot and estimates fine symbol offset by scattered pilots in frequency domain to get the CIR. Then the FFT window position can be decided exactly. Analyses and Simulations show the performance for the AWGN channel is optimal and it can also be well applied to slow fading Rayleigh channel. In the project, the main work I've done is:Read papers to be familiar with the basic principle of DVB-T system.Analyse the impacts of each synchronization error to the system.Research symbol synchronization, carrier frequency synchronization ,sampling clock synchronization.Design synchronization blocks in DVB-T receiver and test them in SIMULINK.Cooperate with others to design the receiver frame and make clear the blocks' interfaces; Take part in system debugging and function test.
