Synchronization Technique In OFDM Transmission System For Digital Video Broadcasting

Background as the development of HDTV is, this paper presents the theory of multi-carrier modulation-OFDM technology and DVB-T COFDM scheme. Based on OFDM synchronization theory and signal mode, algorithms of timing and carrier frequency offset estimation with guard intervals between OFDM symbols is proposed. The control structure of symbol , frequency and sampling clock synchronization is mainly discussed also. The principles of digital PLL control loop, AGC, digital Frequency-Down-Conversion are follwed. Finally, some algorithms are simulated and some design schemes applied to FPGA proposed. This paper also makes a simulation of circuits with Quartus and FPGA-hardware into reality.
