As traditional sound picking up tool, single microphone is not competent for noise processing, speech source localization and tracking, sound extraction and separation, etc., affecting the qualities of sound communication seriously. If using multi-microphone as a microphone array, adding space domain besides time & frequency domain, to do space-time signal processing, the signal-to-noise ratio should be increased greatly, and the shortages mentioned above should be overcome.Products based microphone array can be widely used in sound communications with noise environment, such as meeting place, multimedia classroom, hand-free phone in car and hearing aid, etc. The research about microphone array is a hotspot in the field of array sound signal processing, and there is no correlative product with independent intellectual property right, so it is very important to work in this field.Based on the application background, this paper discusses the Speaker Tracking Technology Based on Microphone Array,and analyses the correlation algorithms, including spectral subtraction, multi frequencies variety signal processing, improved MUSIC algorithm and minimum variance beam forming in near field.Also, this paper discusses the general array sound signal processing hardware platform design, which supports most array sound signal processing. Its hardcore is a float DSP-TMS320C6711 (provided by Texas Instruments in U.S), using a 12-channel AD converter to collect sound signal, and doing floating algorithm operations in DSP, and gets real world sound signal through a DA converter at last.Finally, this paper discussed the software system design based the hardware platform above. It is divided into two levels programming including operating system and application software. The operating system manages hardware resources and schedules tasks. And based this OS, the programming for the application software of this algorithm is accomplished, showing the realization of this algorithm is valid.
