Based On Bluetooth Technology, Voice Transmission

Bluetooth is an open specification for low-cost short-range wireless communication and networking between PCs, mobile phones and handheld devices. On the Bluetooth air-interface, either a log PCM format (A-law or -law) is used, or a Continuous Variable Slope Delta Modulation (CVSD) is used. CVSD is good at treating with the lost and destroyed sampling of speech. Even if the bit error rate is up to four percent, the speech treated with CVSD is audible. When there is bit error, CVSD is better than PCM.This paper discusses the speech application projects, which based on Bluetooth and puts forward a solution based on HCI of Bluetooth. Simulations of CVSD have been carried out in MATLAB. A speech system is designed using Digital Signal Processing and Bluetooth module.In order to extend the application of Bluetooth-system in audio, appropriate compressed speech transmitted by unsymmetrical asynchronous connectionless channel is put forward. Unsymmetrical asynchronous connectionless channel can transmit high bit rate audio- data package.
