Today, with the rapid development of Internet technology, the network and information technology is more and more widely used in many fields ranging from traditional small application to larger and more crucial systems such as e-commerce and e-governance. The network has become a key ingredient of our lives.How to protect network information system from evil hackers is the key problem must be taken more considerations. Firstly, through comparing GAP technology with traditional firewall technology, the paper analyses the advantages and disadvantages between them. And after giving a introduction of the current research status on GAP technology, the paper analyses the possible security holes of the application proxy-based model. Then aiming at the requirement of network protection by e-commerce and e-governance, the author presents a design for another implementation named DGAP in this paper. The DGAP is characterized by the following features: based on an embedded OpenBSD platform, always playing a role of client when changing application data between networks. The paper presents the whole framework design and its design principles. Then the paper gives the design and the implementation of the DGAP main modules including: Command Line Interface configuration module, task schedule module, and task execute module. It also gives a test report about the DGAP which shows that DGAP has better security and stability than the similar products in the current market.
