The general phenomenon that equipments are out of date and automatic level is low exists in plant of colophony processing industry. And the work is heavy, moreover some posts are danger to workers. There are lots and lots of plants in Yunnan Province. Pines are distributed over a large area and sorts of pine are affluent in Yunnan. The main source of colophony comes from pine. Yunan is main place of production of colophony and oil of turpentine. In order to improve the quality of product and working condition, the equipments of plant are remolded gradually and technologies that are relevant to equipments have to be unproved. This paper analyzes and investigates synthetically the control problems that exist in the plant of Jinggu plant of turpentine. After thinking over the time-lay phenomenon of the system and the problem of oil of turpentine concentration of the melting turpentine unmeasured online, this paper presents a prediction-fuzzy control means combining artificial neural networks with fuzzy control to solve the problems. Fuzzy control is an effective way to the system-contained time-lay. Based on artificial neural networks' model of prediction is a way to solve the problem of oil of turpentine concentration of the melting turpentine unmeasured. And this paper introduces some basic concepts about fuzzy control and artificial neural networks and their advantages.The last part of this paper introduces a way to design a fuzzy controller based on the MATLAB'S fuzzy logic toolboxes, and in order to apply the software SIMULINK to process simulation visually, artificial neural networks designed has to be transformed into form of SIMULINK correspondingly by using functions of MATLAB. By using the SIMULINK program to make a simulation of this control system, the result of simulation experiments illustrate the availability and feasibility of this mans in theory.This paper provides a solving idea to general character problems which industrial process with large time lag and the virtual results, which are difficult to obtain. And this means has great reference value in engineering application.
