Nowadays, with the rapid development of E-Business, global market and new technology, enterprises are faced with great pressure to provide products with high quality and low cost.The Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) is a standard file format for the description of 3D objects and worlds. VRML2.0 is in the process of becoming an ISO/IEC international standard (ISO). It is independent of the platform and it provides the methods of controlling the VRML scene. These advantage makes it very important and effective to improve the effective of CPC platform. This thesis focuses on the customization system under low band environment, which are based on the VRML file format.Now many enterprises have its own e-commerce Web sites. Aiming at the simplicity on product information and disadvantage on interactivity of the web, We developed a VRML and Java-based software system for three-dimensional interactive Web sites in e-commerce, which is used to meet the increasing needs of customers who can realize easily the color size or shape of the product and modify these appearance through system accordingto individual need of configuration. This system is based on B/S mode. The front-end is composed of VRML browser and Java-Applet embedded web pages, and customization is achieved through the interaction of the VRML browser and Java Applet using EAI. Communications between the client and the server are accomplished based on Java RMI, and JDBC is used to operate the Database. The three modes showed above had its character of safety and independence.Finally, some personal suggestion was proposed toward future development and meanwhile, conclusion and suggestion are also drawn as well.
