Ruiyuan Hu Directed by Yilin zhouShort-data transferring via LEO micro-satellite communication systems see a good future in development of national economic and defense, because of many advantages it takes, e.g. small-size terminal, comparatively low cost and so on. In the development of LEO satellite communication system, the debugging and testing of the transceiver is one of the most important tasks, especially for the receiver. In this process a base band signal generator is needed.General speaking, several communication schemes coexist in the LEO satellite communication system, each of them adopts different source coding schemes, channel coding schemes, modulation schemes and code rates. So the general signal generators that have already existed cannot satisfy all the requirements in the debugging and testing of the satellite receiver. Because of this a universal, flexible, reliable and high-powered base band signal generator is indispensable. This thesis focuses on how to design and implement the base band signal generator. It first makes a global design, then the global design is refined to guide the following detail design, and at the end of the thesis, the system is verified. To fulfill all these aims, we refer to virtual software radio in our design- to make it more flexible. Also the design takes advantage of FPGA technology and Large-scale integrating technology to make it more reliable.
