Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) is a new technique which develops rapidly from the 1970s.Rencently the technique is broadly applied in such fields as archeology, reconnaissance, building structure inspecting, etc. The overseas technique of GPR is more advanced than that of domestic because they began the research in this field earlier than us. On the base of overseas advanced technique for reference, we have made great progress in the research of GPR. For example, Some sample GPR made in our country has been used in many fieldsGPR System is composed mainly by pulse signal generator, the broadband transmitting/receiving antennas,the data acquisition system and the digital signal processing. The work of this paper is studying and designing the the data acquisition system, this system using a DDS as the stepping clock generator and MCU as control unit, and transmit the data acquired by A/D converter to the computer .compared with the early system, this one has such advantage as high resolution, low cost ,high integration level etc.In this paper ,the author analyses and designs each unit constituting the GPR system. the main contents of this paper are:1,Describing the present situation and theory foundation of GPR2,Study the generation principle of nanosecond pulse is studied, compare The properties of several types of ultra-broadband antenna compare.3,Discuss the theory of Data acquisition, 4.Study and design the high-speed data acquisition system...
