Slow wave structure(SWS) is the core of the RBWO and RTWT, which speciality could decide the speciality of RBWO and RTWT greatly.The SWS'linear dispersion relation is the key parameter of the RBWO and RTWT, other paraneter such as the phase velocity ,group velocity, coupling impedance can be derived from the linear dispersion relation. So it's important for us to get the SWS's dispersion relation quickly and exactly.The universal dispersion relation of TM0n mode in cylindrical SWS is derived by expanding the SWS's boundary in Fourier series form, and in principle this mehod can be applied to the cylindrical SWS with arbitrary boundary. The main contributions and features of this dessertation are as the following:1. The universal dispersion relation of TM0n mode in cylindrical SWS is derived by expanding the SWS's boundary in Fourier series form, and in principle this mehod can be applied to the cylindrical SWS with arbitrary boundary.2. With the universal dispersion equation, we program, calculate and plot several dispersion curves of TM0n modes in corrugated-wall waveguide, disk-loaded waveguide and modified disk-loaded waveguide. The results consist with the simulation of HFSS and the corresponding literature.3. With the work above, we studied the effect to the dispersion curve made by the different Fourier series and order of |D|. This is useful for us to estimate the computing time and error in practice. At the same time,we gave a improved way to calculate the dispersion relation for some special SWS more efficient.
