The most important optical instrument is the human eye, yet its optical performance has not been completely characterized. It is shown that with this method, using a Hartmann-Shack wave-front sensor ,one can obtain a fast ,precise, and objective measurement of the aberrations of the eye. Hartmann-Shack wave-front sensor can aid in the design and fitting of contact lenses and corneal refractive surgery. Both the category and the application situation or prospect in ocular clinic, vision ptics-field , seeing research-field of Hartmann-Shack wave-front sensor have been revealed in our paper. In this paper , the principle of a Hartmann-Shack wave-front sensor is introduced, the methods for measuring wave aberrations of the human eye are given. By this method,65 terms of Zernike ploynomials of human eye can be measured, In this paper ,the accuracy of the Hartman-Shack sensor we developed is measured and analyzed, and given the measurements of dynamic wave aberrations of the real eyes using the sensor, and the results are analyzed in detail.
