As the development of communication technology, more and more traditional information was represented in audio and video, the whole society was coming into the age of picture-reading. Moreover the flourish of DSP technology in these years ensured the realization of multimedia communications. The information represented in multimedia is a trend. It is the question of discussion facing to us that how to lead this trend of technology and how to change the traditional life style of human beings with science and technology.The study describes a blue print about how to set up hardware circuit based on series of TMS320C54 chips in TI fixed point DSP and how to realize H.263 video encode recommendation on this hardware platform. The text is mainly discussing the question of how to realize the disposal of multimedia information with limited resources, and sums up the general multimedia encode process. Furthermore, the text still probes about how to operate high precision DCT with DSP, how to realize the real time communication technology between DSP and PC, and how to simulate I2C bus with DSP software.We can look upon the study as a new product coming into the mature, which encode video source with matured DSP technology; also, we can look it upon just as a new experiment, setting up software system on digital signal processor with concept of software engineering.
