Bluetooth Hcrp Protocol Test And Analysis Platform, System Architecture Design

BlueTooth is a wireless technology operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM band for short distance communication. It is being developed fast for its good performance and broad application prospect.The primary aim of this paper is to develop a Bluetooth HCRP Protocol test and analysis platform on the basis of Protocol and Windows 2000 Operating System analysis. Two parts of the system design is represented, the implementation of Bluetooth Portocol Stack and the datapath design of the whole system.First, we introduce the Bluetooth and HCRP(Hardcopy Cable Replacement Profile) protocol and then analyse the implementation of Bluetooth and analogous communication protocol Stack. Two design models, single-task-oriented and multi-task-oriented, are discussed. We conclude that the muti-task-oriented method is good for programmed but the efficiency is low because of the frequent switches of context, which consumes much time of the CPU.The Single-task-oriented method can avoid this and behaves well when porting.At last, the paper focuses on the datapath development of a wireless communication system with Bluetooth Hardcopy Cable Replacement Profile (HCRP), which is mostly for test and analysis of validity and performance of HCRP protocol. Some experiments data and conclusion are given at the end of this paper. For the BlueStack provides the User API for windows2000 programmer while the Printing data Stream must be got from the Kernel Port Driver, we adopt some special communication method to implement the system.The development and test are based on Bluetooth Core Specification V1.1 and HCRP V0.95, with BlueStack Protodeveloper released by Mezoe Corporation. All Softwares can run under Win2000 Operation system.Our development and analysis is helpful for those who are developing Bluetooth application system as well as other communication application system like that, for example, a wireless communication system with 802.11 protocols.In addition, the test and analysis HW/SW platform we developed has successfully provided some valuable advices about the HCRP revision for BlueTooth SIG.
