Web Mining And Personalized Information Services

It's a new subject to apply data mining into Web and it will also have broad application value. This thesis mainly included four parts: Firstly, it discussed data mining technique. Secondly, it analyzed association rule and sequence mode used in the process of data mining and compared the main algorithms of association rule and sequence mode. Thirdly, it analyzed the application of data mining in Web and the system of web mining. Finally, on the base of data mining and Web mining technique, it brought forward personal information service system. With data mining techniques such as association rule the information service system analyzed sever log file and got the user visiting mode so that it could provide the user real-time personal information service according to the current status of their ongoing visiting activity. This thesis enumerated the problems in the preprocessing of server log file such as data cleaning, user identification, transaction identification and path identification and come up with solving methods in turn. So, through the recommending engine, we fulfill the task to provide the personal information service: to recommend the web page to the user.
